From time to time I look after older pictures, because often I feel I can do more for them now, then I was able to back in the days. Same with this shot - now, after re-editing, I love it even more and I really have to print it out in a large size. In addition to that I added this one to the flickr group of the german max-magazine. At the end of each month they browse through their group and write to the photographers whose pictures they liked. If the persons agree, the pictures will be printed out in the magazine. So hopefully, I’ll get lucky…

Yesterday, as I was suffering badly from the night before, the postman rang the implied doorbell - not for the lens, but for my new monitor. Due to the fact that now I finally own a flatscreen with an at least moderate resolution (in terms of Photoshop usage) I’ll start to begin to upload some more high-res pictures. I don’t know why, but with my old 17″ it wasn’t that much fun to look at the pictures in “theatre-mode”. Now it is, indeed.

Done it. Lately I was struggling with myself if it makes much sense to buy another lens for my (actually quite old) Pentax *ist D, because I don’t now how long the slow internal image processing and kinda small resolution of 6mp will last for my requirements. But… the future is now and noooow –> I need a wideangle lens for digital usage!! Damn at all. So I ordered a Sigma 15/2.8 EX full-frame fisheye, which will work as a 24mm on the Pentax due to it’s smaller sensor. Generally I am okay with that, cos I somehow like the 24mm style. I already own a 24mm lens for an analogue Minolta and I like the fact that it is really wide, but actually not SO wide that bothers after a few shots. Anyway… Maybe I’ll get an old Pentax body to get the full effect.

Till then I can’t wait for the postman ringing the doorbell and saying “Hallo, Post.”. You’ll see first results as soon as it arrives. ;)
