This evening a mate asked me to watch a basketball game. Actually, I’m not that much into sports in general.. but I had nothing really thrilling to do so I thought “why not”.

Okay - I have to say it was quite exciting and actually the first time that I got in touch with some sort of “sports photography”. Maybe I had the wrong lens with me and left the flash at home, but I was surprised it worked not too bad.

I shot (with the Pentax *ist D) at Iso 800 with an old Porst 1,4/50 lens I “borrow” from my father since 2 years. Shooting at f2 worked kinda well and the sharpness is really good when one concerns, that those players are running quite fast.

Some kinda weird stuff here from our little “lightworkshop” in andrés flat. Okay - they’re dark, but the longer I look at them the more I like ‘em (full size recommended). Thanks Franca for having so much patience with us and for beeing such a good model. See you next time i guess.. ;)

This is an old picture I captured with an analogue Pentax mz-50 in Cologne.
