It just came to my ear, that the british photographer Tony Ray-Jones (1886–1942) liked to make lists - in the first place for himself, but some of it also fits to myself.

• BE MORE AGGRESSIVE
• GET MORE INVOLVED (TALK TO PEOPLE)
• STAY WITH THE SUBJECT MATTER (BE PATIENT)
• TAKE SIMPLER PICTURES
• SEE IF EVERYTHING IN BACKGROUND RELATES TO SUBJECT MATTER
• VARY COMPOSITIONS AND ANGLES MORE
• BE MORE AWARE OF COMPOSITION
• DON’T TAKE BORING PICTURES
• GET IN CLOSER (USE 50mm LESS)
• WATCH CAMERA SHAKE (shoot 250sec or above)

Through flickr, I just stumbled across a quite interesting book by Emmanuel Smague. It features classic b&w images of Kurdish people after 2003. You can see it online over here or just order it for 20€. French Language, though.

// Yiiiiiihaaaaa
Martin Fuchs is online again. Okay, maybe there are some people who don’t quite understand my euphoria over this. By the time he was a Magnum intern, he used to share the interesting things he came across in NY — including nice audio interviews for instance. Now, after having his blog offline for months (or even years?), he’s on again. Why? He’s moving to NY for good. Will be interesting, indeed.
