Stranger relaxing at the baltic sea. The weather was kinda rough, so there weren’t many people around. Here’s the fitting soundfile I’ve recorded: waves

So as I am using a Macintosh since a few months, naturally I also discovered some of the disadvantages. One is this high cpu load when the Flash player (as a plug-in or stand alone) comes into play. That means you go on youtube and immediately the cpu gets kinda hot.

If you know this problem, then the 1.5 update of the camino browser is maybe interesting for you, cos within the preferences you can make the Flash player stop loading all the time (If you click on a video it’ll run, of course). This means no more cpu trouble, but the result also is that you don’t see the video thumbnails any more. Well… I don’t know. For me, I’ll check myself if this annoys me more than having a fan running all the time.

e.
Nope, it doesn’t disturb me at all. Nice feature.

This week I went to a training game of the “Untouchables” - the baseball team of Paderborn (Germany). In fact, I was there to capture two more pictures for my portfolio, but back home I decided to pack all the other ones in a little slideshow (which I just love doing at the moment). So you can say this is still more a test than a real story, but anyway… You can watch it here (in fact, here is another one with some random b&w pictures - no story behind. Just to try the software out).

I cannot stop wondering why I’m not able to reach those tones with digital photography. I mean… these are scans of a roll of “macophot up 400plus” film, which costs about 1 Euro. And they come out that amazing… Can you reach this look with using digital images in Photoshop? If it’s so, please tell me how.
